Lincoln's election

Dear Yankee's,
We men of the south are forced to match this show of unity in the North through this election with an even more steadfast unity of the slave holding states. We shall throw off all other party alliances and unite in an all-southern party committed to resisting abolitionist activities and ideas, and to preserve and expand slavery and our survival.
New regions of the colonies, some of which are settled by men from southern states take with them the laws of their colonies, including those which protect slavery.
Lincoln opposes slavery and states rights and we hereby oppose Lincoln and the freedom of slaves.
We must stop fighting amongst ourselves and provide a united front against this oppression by Lincoln and his meddling federal government. The government which has no right declaring these laws in the southern states. We govern ourselves.
Before Lincoln will be inaugurated we shall secede! Any state that wishes to form a southern alliance under a new flag, declare themselves succeeded and govern themselves!
