On To Richmond!

If there was ever any question about our intentions, let them be answered forever. The 50,000 troops at Fort Monroe have been nearly tripled to 121,500 men under arms. They have 15,000 horses and 1,150 wagons to carry them up the peninsula to your "capital" at Richmond. 113 steamships, 188 schooners, and 88 barges have brought them from the Washington area to Virginia, and no one has any plans to take them back.

Gen'l McClellan is a man of decisive action, and we will march straight from this camp to your "capital" and destroy every inch of that rebel stronghold. Any men who try to stop us, if they are farmers or soldiers dressed in grey, will get capped.

This war is over. Give it up.
